Terms of Use
These terms apply to Rupa, the iPhone app made by Indise LLC (“we”, “us”). Rupa is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). By using Rupa you agree to that EULA and to these terms. If they conflict, these terms apply to the points they cover.
1. What Rupa offers
- On-device tools are free. Retouch (including one-tap auto glow), reshape, background, blur face, crop, light, filters, templates and the camera work on your iPhone without an account, without a watermark and with full-resolution export.
- Cloud AI tools (HD Enhance, Restore old photo, Object remover, AI change) run on our servers with our AI provider and need an internet connection.
- Rupa is rated 18+ and is meant for adults only.
- 3 free cloud AI edits per iPhone. They are a one-time allowance for the device, not per month, and reinstalling the app does not reset them.
- A failed edit never counts. If a cloud edit fails, is cancelled or is blocked, it is returned to your allowance automatically.
2. Rupa Plus subscription
- Rupa Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, sold by Apple, with two options: monthly and yearly. Both include the same features.
- Rupa Plus includes 100 cloud AI edits per month, shared across all cloud tools. This is a fair-use limit. Unused edits do not carry over. The app always shows how many edits you have left and when the count resets. On-device tools keep working when the monthly edits are used up.
- There is no free trial; the 3 free cloud edits let you try the cloud tools first. There are no weekly plans, no coins and no other in-app currency.
- The price and billing period are shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency before you buy. Prices are set per country through Apple and may include local taxes.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription any time in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone (Apple’s instructions). After cancelling, Rupa Plus stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- If the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- To use Rupa Plus on another iPhone or after reinstalling, tap Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the same Apple Account.
3. Your photos
Your photos and results belong to you. We do not claim any rights to them. When you start a cloud edit, you give us, our AI provider and the model makers it uses permission to process that photo only to create the result you asked for, and only for as long as described in the Privacy Policy (Rupa deletes it from its servers within 24 hours; some AI partners keep copies longer under their own terms, for example Google for up to 55 days for AI change, to prevent abuse). Rupa never uses your photos to train AI.
4. Fair and respectful use
Use Rupa only with photos you have the right to use. You agree not to use Rupa to:
- edit or share photos of other people without their permission;
- create sexual content or nudity, or any content that sexualizes or exploits minors;
- ask AI change for sexual content, nudity, violence, images of minors, or images of real public figures;
- impersonate someone, create misleading “deepfake” images of real people, or harass, bully or defame anyone;
- remove watermarks, logos or copyright notices from images that are not yours, or otherwise infringe someone else’s rights;
- break the law, or bypass, automate, overload or reverse-engineer the service or its edit limits.
Photos sent to cloud tools are checked automatically, and some content may be blocked. We may suspend cloud tools for an installation that breaks these rules.
5. Edits and self-expression
Rupa’s retouch and reshape tools are for creativity and self-expression. Edited photos do not show reality as it is. Please keep that in mind when you share them, and follow the rules of the platforms you post to, including any rule to label edited or AI-generated images.
6. AI results
Cloud results are created automatically by AI models. They can contain mistakes, change details or look different from what you expected. Check a result before you use or share it. We may change or replace the models we use to keep the service working well. AI change creates new images from your photo and text. Use Report on a result if it is harmful.
7. Availability
Cloud tools need an internet connection and may sometimes be slow, limited or temporarily unavailable, for example during maintenance or high demand. We may add, change or remove features. On-device tools do not depend on our servers.
8. Liability
Rupa is provided “as is”, as described in Apple’s EULA. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for how you use your edited photos. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version and its date are always on this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
